The Utilities Board of the City of Oneonta


The Utilities Board of the City of Oneonta has made the following changes to its sewer rate structure:

The minimums and step rate will increase by approximately 4%.

The minimum gallon allowance will move from 3,000 gallons to 2,000 gallons.

These changes are effective as of January 1, 2012:

New Sewer Minimum

$18.75 (0 - 2,000 gallons)

New Step Rate

$ 6.25 per 1,000 gallons (all over 2,000 gallons)

The average residential sewer customer has a monthly usage of 4,829 gallons and their monthly sewer bill will increase by $7.42 with the increases shown above.

The Board customer who usually pays only the minimum bill and has a usage of zero gallons or less than or equal to 2,000 gallons, will have an increase in their monthly bill of $ .73.

The Board customer who usually pays only the minimum bill and has a usage greater than 2,000 gallons or less than or equal to 3,000 gallons, will have an increase in their monthly bill of $6.98.
