WATER AND SEWER RATE INCREASE-EFFECTIVE January 1, 2024

The Utilities Board of the City of Oneonta has made the following changes to its water and sewer rate structure.

The minimum and step rate for water will increase by approximately 3%

The minimum and step rate for sewer will increase by approximately 1%

These changes are effective as of January 1, 2024:

New Water Minimum-3/4” meter

$26.52                                     (0-2000gallons)

ALL water minimums and step rates will increase by 3%

The average residential water customer has a monthly billing of 4,800 gallons and their monthly water bill will increase by $1.34 with the increases shown above.

New Sewer Minimum

$26.51                                     (0-2000gallons)

New Step Rate

$8.82 per 1,000 gallons             (all over 2,000 gallons)

ALL sewer minimums and step rates will increase by 1%

The average residential sewer customer has a monthly billing of 4,300 gallons and their monthly water bill will increase by $.47with the increases shown above.
